Miunáe was always a matter of time.

My Romanian roots gave me a deep respect for beauty. I grew up with natural remedies –– passed down, trusted. My grandmother hand-made balms that people traveled from all over Romania to find. Living in NY didn’t make me forget; it all stayed with me. Especially as hyped-up US skincare kept letting me down.

Eventually I realized: if I wanted 100% natural done the very slow but very worth it way, no one was going to make it for me. And yes, some of that Eastern European "Oh, I can do this better" confidence kicked in. Once I started, I couldn’t stop until it was right.

Miunáe holds so much of what I value. My heritage, my grandma’s memory, never backing down, obsessing over every last tweak. I’ve got a lot of energy. I put all of it here.

It began with a pharmacist with 20+ years hand-crafting natural remedies, who helped us shape our OG (The Original Balm). From there, we searched Romania for partners who could push us even further. And found them.

Why Romania?

Romania has long supplied European perfumers and French luxury houses, because it’s hard to beat the land. Some of the world’s richest soil, exceptional biodiversity, thousands of plant species. The botanicals just now discovered by high-end brands aren’t new. They’ve lived in Romanian households and remedies for centuries.

When entire generations grow up around that, nature isn’t a trend. It’s daily life. Found in every garden, kitchen, vanity table. You value it. Understand it. Build a whole culture around it.
